These pieces feature a mosaic of sparkling handmade Australian opal pendants, hand-set in sterling silver (925 standard) frames and accented with ancient Japanese, hand-cut, red coral necklaces. Rare bright red shade of colour. Necklaces are artisanally assembled by hand using the knot technique. Antique Czech clasps.
OPAL DOUBLETS:
Opal doublets consist of two layers and are a thin piece of precious black or crystal opal glued to a base of glass, ceramic, tourmaline or iron stone, but without a crystal cap to cover the opal. The opal thickness in the doublet can vary, but it is usually thicker than the opal in the triplet.
