About the Coral:
SARDINIA/REBRUM - These are the most famous and coveted red Mediterranean corals. Otherwise, they are called SARDENIA due to their main place of origin - Sardinia is a large island in the Mediterranean Sea, part of Italy. The colour of these corals is uniform red. These corals are located in the Mediterranean and Atlantic regions of West Africa, at a depth of 30-250 meters. They grow in branchy bushes; the average trunk is 15cm long, 8mm in diameter. The average weight of such a coral trunk is 100g. In jewellery, drops, round beads and cabochons are made from these corals - Sardinian corals have no equal when it comes to such smooth and polished forms. The legendary SHAKKA coral, whose deposits have already been depleted, also belongs to the RUBRUM/SARDINIA corals, but has a distinctive fiery red uniform colour.
