Majestic, signed Erstwilder, ‘Bastet the Protector’ acrylic earrings!

These laser-cut drop earrings feature a three-dimensional Bastet cat design. Beautifully hand-painted, they showcase layers of super light resin and illustrate a fitting representation of the Egyptian Bastet - felines may be much adored in the 21st century, but the divine Bastet set the trend, having been worshipped for her powers of protection since ancient times.

Ferocious daughter of the sun god Re, these Bastet the Protector drop earrings are part of the Egyptian Revival collection. Inspired by all things Ancient Egypt, as filtered through the lens of Art Deco design, these elegant earrings are brought to life with a stunning textured resin and have been hand-finished with both glittered and patterned resins, a gorgeous gold mirror resin and painted details. They can be worn together with the matching Bastet the Protector brooch and enamel pin, and pair exceptionally well with the Bastet the Protector head scarf.

Designed and hand-made in a little studio in Melbourne, Australia. Erstwilder’s designs are decidedly fun, often outrageous, somewhat quirky and always delightfully companionable. Made up of a team of local designers, each piece in a collection has its own narrative including a unique name and a short story which serves as an homage to history, myth, pop-culture and classic storytelling. Each little character is only made in a limited number and their designs are highly collectible.

Condition: New, excellent, no loss or wear aways. Please note due to the hand-mixed nature of the resins in their designs, it is also common and normal to find tiny flecks or bubbles in the resin layers. All in all, this just makes each piece as special and unique as you are.
